Wellington Park is a public space, and therefore simple, basic wedding ceremonies require no approval.
- Businesses that you engage as part of your wedding who will be present in the Park (eg celebrants, commercial photographers) must hold a commercial operator licence to provide their services within Wellington Park.
- Huts or other areas of the Park are not available to be booked for exclusive use.
- A permit is required to hold a reception in the Park if tables, marquees etc, are required to be brought in and erected. Please contact the Trust info@wellingtonpark.org.au.
- Wedding bouquets and other ornamental vegetation must not be left in the Park.
- It is not permitted to bring butterflies into the Park or to release them within the Park.
- Wedding attendees are not to be provided with single-serve plastic items for use, and single-serve plastic items are not to be brought into or used in Wellington Park. These items include but are not limited to plastic containers, cups, plates, straws and cutlery.
