Approval is required for any commercial filming or photography undertaken within Wellington Park. Commercial filming is defined as any filming that is undertaken for a financial consideration, either on consignment for another party or for promotion of a product/service, and includes stills photography for advertising purposes. Applications for approval must be submitted no later than 14 business days prior to proposed filming. Please read the Commercial Filming Guidelines prior to submitting your application. Fees apply.
Launching and landing drones/Remotely Piloted Aircraft in Wellington Park is prohibited, regardless of size, under the Wellington Park Regulations 2019, unless authorised by a permit issued by the Trust. This includes use of drones for recreational, scientific and commercial purposes.
News of the day (electronic and print) and current affairs are not considered to be commercial filming and do not require approval, a permit or the payment of fees. News of the day media are encouraged to comply with the Trust’s commercial filming objective:
'To ensure commercial filming in Wellington Park assists, where possible, in promoting community awareness, understanding and support for natural, cultural and heritage conservation and management, and is carried out in a manner that does not compromise conservation and other management objectives.'
